The social organization Yuva (Youth Unity For Voluntary Action), Jamshedpur today took a group of Sabar children on a fun trip to Tata Steel Zoological Park and Jubilee Park. The group included 51 children from Sabar tribe as well as four teachers.Yuva Secretary Barnali Chakraborty said that all the Sabar children enjoyed their trip to the zoo as well as park. It was a fun experience for all of them.
She said that Yuva with the help of Centre For World Solidarity and ASW has been running four educational centres in Potka especially for the benefit of Sabar children and for ensuring their all round development. A large number of Sabar children are thus availing of educational facilities in Dhengam, Otejhari, Parsigazad and Karadkocha.
She said that Yuva’s effort to mainstream Sabar children has started bearing fruits and now 29 Sabar children are studying in different residential schools.
Those who played an important role in making this educational and fun trip of Sabar children included Uttam Acharjee, Dilip Sardar, Shankar Sardar, Jogi Hembrom, Hambir Murmu, Narsingh Sardar, Budhia Sabar, Anand Sabar and Arup Mandal.
